Products I love- Trader Joe's Edition

Trader Joe's, what's not to love? A sea of new and innovative meals with simple directions and minimal cooking time, heaven on earth. Though there are some products of questionable nutritional value at this popular grocery chain, today I will be focusing on the products I adore from TJ's.

  1. Cauliflower Gnocchi- Ah, a cult favorite. This cauliflower gnocchi packs a mean punch of nutritional benefits due to it being mostly made of cauliflower. Significantly healthier than the average potato and wheat gnocchi, it tastes absolutely delicious and goes so well paired with a simple red sauce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Another thing I adore about this meal is the filling quality of it, you are bound to feel perfectly full after consuming the whole bag, which don't worry is only about 330 calories. However, I do suggest pairing it with some form of protein if you are trying to up your protein levels.

  1. Fried Cauliflower "Rice"- This is perhaps my most favorite Trader Joes product. I love the flavors of fried rice but I don't love the excessive fat and carb levels. I was surprised how much flavor this had and I found myself enjoying it as much as actual fried rice. The calorie amount is also quite low since it consists of mainly cauliflower and vegetables. I like to scramble an egg into the dish or sometimes shredded chicken to create a super filling meal. Since I have an obsession with sesame seeds, I also sprinkle some of those on there.

  1. Norweigian Crisp Bread- This is a great midday snack. With lots of nutritious grains and a touch of honey, I like to pair this healthy crisp with a tablespoon of crunchy Valencia Peanut Butter from Trader Joes and thin slices of apples. It creates a truly delicious snack with great flavor and crunch.

  1. Miso Vegetables and Brown Rice Sauté Kit- This is the ultimate side dish that you can have. You also get to feel proud of the fact that you kinda cooked it (pouring it into a pan and stirring it around counts, right?). I am sucker for anything with brown rice and Japanese flavor, so this to me, is a winner. I also like the fact that amount of vegetables is significantly bigger than the amount of rice, which is nice, since it is a side dish so it should not weight you down.

So, that's about all I have for now, but when I find new products from Tj's I will definitely write them here so keep checking this article!
