Switch Out Your Daily Starbucks Frappe

Sugary Starbucks Lattes are delicious, no doubt, but also have tons of added artificial sweeteners and preservatives that can stem your health and body goals. Here, I am going to offer 2 caffeine switches that are much healthier.

Pop and Bottle Lattes- I am not going to sugarcoat it (pun intended) these almond milk are absolutely incredible. Pop and Bottle is a woman owned company that created lattes for women on the go that are naturally sweetened, dairy free, and 100% clean. The only ingredients for their classic latte is fresh almond milk, dates, coffee, and pink himalayan sea salt. Though my favorite is the original, Pop and Bottle makes tons of different varieties of almond milk lattes including vanilla, mocha, matcha, cacao, and turmeric. Check out their website to learn more about their oat milk lattes, as I have not tried these yet but I certainly intend to! I love that these lattes taste so clean, and I feel great indulging in one, especially because of the slow releasing caffeine.

Homemade Almond Milk Matcha Latte- This is a hot drink, but can also be left out to cool for an iced latte.

Steps-

  1. If you have a milk foamer, add 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk to it and add 2 teaspoons of matcha tea powder. Then add 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Finally, add a 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil. Press the button and blend.

  2. If you do not have a milk foamer, heat up 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Then, take it out, add matcha, honey, vanilla extract, and coconut oil. Whisk until silky and smooth. Serve in a large cup.
